Under the supervision of the Director, provide Trauma Informed assessments; non-traditional individual, group, and family counseling; staff technical assistance and development throughout Pathfinders.
- Interview and assess clients between the ages of 11-25 years of age who have experienced trauma. Also address related problems such as personal and family adjustments, housing, school, and physical and mental impairments, using assessment tools to determine nature and degree of problem. Secure information, such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to client’s situation and evaluate these and the client’s capacities.
- Counsel clients individually, in family, possibly at home site, and in therapeutic groups regarding trauma. Develop treatment goals for meeting client’s needs and help client to modify attitudes and patterns of behavior. Review treatment goals and revise as needed to determine quantity and quality of service provided to client.
- Provide team case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy services, including service coordination as necessary. Refer clients to community resources and other organizations, as appropriate.
- Provide technical assistance and leadership on Trauma Informed Care including assessments, case consultation, and staff training.
- Compile records and prepare reports, including case files and correspondence with client and other mental health and social service providers involved. Develop, maintain, and submit necessary reports for program evaluation and statistical compilation. Records must be complaint with all program requirements as well as HIPAA.
- Participate in outreach speaking engagements and development opportunities. Attend program and agency staff meetings as required.

- Recruit, select, train, retain, monitor and recognize volunteers and interns (unpaid staff) placed throughout Pathfinders’ broad array of services.
- Lead community outreach efforts to recruit a diverse pool of volunteers and interns
- Respond to all volunteer inquiries
- Maintain and expand public listings regarding volunteer opportunities, including but not limited to United Way
- Screen, interview and select volunteer and intern candidates
- Update curriculum and related materials for all volunteer trainings, in partnership with HR; seek input from program partners
- Assist with the implementation of continuing education for volunteers/interns in conjunction with program staff, as needed
- Provide follow up and support for all volunteers/volunteer supervisors
- Create, manage and organize volunteer appreciation activities in conjunction with the Development & Communications team
- Maintain tracking of volunteers and volunteer opportunities in Donor Perfect database; run agency reports, as needed
- Manage single-day corporate/group volunteers
- Create and manage meaningful engagement opportunities for the community to support Pathfinders.
- Research, secure and steward individual/corporate/faith-based donors and other organizations for the solicitation of in-kind goods, serving Drop-In Center dinners, providing year-end holiday gifts and other meals/items.
- Develop and manage the delivery/pick up schedule of in-kind donations with donors.
- Exercise discretion regarding acceptance and/or disposal of donated goods and maintains donor relationships.
- Provide donation information for Donor Perfect data entry and donor acknowledgement.
- Work with program staff to ensure the proper processing of donations and needs.
- Represent the organization at public events/public speaking opportunities.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with all departments/programs to coordinate volunteer needs and maximize volunteer resources and assistance.
- Maintain volunteer records and complete necessary reports of activities, inputs, outputs, and outcomes. Maintain intern timesheets and data entry of hours worked. Official intern files will be managed by HR.
- Participate in all program and agency meetings, trainings and development opportunities as necessary.

The Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager, in conjunction with other Pathfinders staff, will manage the supervision of the unpaid staff of approximately 200 volunteers and carry out volunteer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s
policies, procedures and all applicable laws. Pathfinders’ model of volunteer and intern placement within programs requires that individual program staff provide day-to-day supervision of unpaid staff, with support from the Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager.
- Requires a Master’s degree in social work, educational psychology, or psychology, and two years’ experience working with families or youth.
- Must possess advanced knowledge of the impact of trauma on youth and their families.
- Must possess working knowledge of family dynamics and have the ability to conduct family counseling sessions.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to maintain privileged client information.
- Preferred State of WI licensure as a clinical social worker, professional counselor, or marriage and family therapist or close
to approaching licensure.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and proof of sufficient automobile insurance.
Starting salary of $38,400-$42,500 depending upon professional background and work experience.
