Rosalie Center for Family Engagement offers young, at risk mothers and their families/partners case management, parenting education, systems navigation and advocacy support that contribute to healthy birth outcomes and the prevention of child abuse and neglect, along with additional programing to prevent teen pregnancy, sexual assault and STD/HIV infection. Referrals come from schools, medical clinics, WIC clinics, and other community based organizations.

In early 2014, Pathfinders assumed the programming activities and administrative oversight of Rosalie Manor Community and Family Services, integrating Rosalie Manor’s long-standing programs, including its home visiting program and Healthy Girls pregnancy prevention initiative, with its current services.  These integrated programming efforts are provided by the Rosalie Center as a newly designated department of Pathfinders. Rosalie Manor was founded by the Misericordia Sisters in 1908 as a home for unwed pregnant women and has a long history of strengthening at-risk families in Milwaukee. Former Rosalie Manor staff joined the Pathfinders team as the agency’s newest employees on January 1, 2014.

“Although very young, Raven was extremely interested in learning everything she could about her pregnancy. Along with meeting with her doctor often, she met consistently with her Rosalie Center home visitor and nurse.  At 40 weeks, Raven delivered a happy and healthy boy named Aiden. Although it is a struggle at the moment, she is committed to breastfeeding as she knows its importance.
