Comprehensive counseling for youth sexual abuse survivors ages 6-17.

Hand-in-Hand specializes in working with survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault by providing individual, group and family therapy. Hand-in-Hand focuses on assisting youth to heal from abuse, understand their reactions to trauma and find new ways to cope and manage the symptoms of their trauma. All Hand-in-Hand staff is trained in trauma-informed care, which is based on the understanding of the triggers and vulnerabilities of trauma survivors to both address the trauma and facilitate healing.

Hand-in-Hand recognizes and honors our young people’s need for respect and hope. We work collaboratively with young people and their family, friends and other human services agencies in a way that is empowering.

Additionally, Hand-in-Hand is committed to excellence by using best practices and using effective, evidence-based treatments. All Hand-in-Hand staff has been trained in Trauma Focused–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a nationally-recognized best practice for survivors to process sexual abuse, normalize reactions and develop adaptive coping strategies.
